Berry Crumble:

Serves 12

3 Cups of assorted frozen berries (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries or raspberries)

3 Tablespoons: Sugar

1 1/3 Cup: Flour

1 1/3 Cup: Rolled oats

1 Cup: Brown Sugar

1 teaspoon: Cinnamon

¼ teaspoon: Nutmeg

1 Cup (2 sticks): Unsalted butter, cubed

  1. 1)Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.In a large bowl, gently toss together the berries and sugar; set aside.
  2. 2)In a separate large bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  3. 3)In a lightly greased 9x13 inch pan, pour in the berries. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the berries.
  4. 4)Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until fruit is bubbly and topping is golden brown.

Vanilla Sauce:

Serves 12

¾ Cup: Sugar

1 Tablespoon: Cornstarch

1 Cup: Water

2/3 Cup: Milk

3 Tablespoons: Unsalted butter, cubed

2 teaspoons: Vanilla extract

  1. 1)In a saucepan, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the water and milk stirring until blended.
  2. 2)Bring mixture to a boil and continue to cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. 3)Remove from heat and mix in the butter and vanilla. Serve warm over berry crumble.
