SOUR CREAM WAFFLES

Ingredients:

  • 3 egg yolk
  • 3 egg whites, beaten to form stiff peaks
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Use a very hot waffle iron. Spray with cooking spray or wipe with oil.
In mixing bowl with hand-held electric mixer, blend egg yolk, sour cream, milk, and butter.
Into a separate bowl, sift together dry ingredients. Stir the sifted dry ingredients into first mixture; beat until smooth with mixer. Fold in the beaten egg white.
Bake at medium-high heat in a preheated waffle baker.
